About Raising Analog

Raising Analog is a blog about raising capable, independent kids in a world built to hold their attention. The angle is hopeful and practical: not less screen time for its own sake, but a kid who knows what to do with themselves.

Who writes it

I'm Robbie, a parent of two, ages 4 and 8, writing from the Denver area. My wife and I are trying to raise our kids outside as much as we can, on bikes, on trails, on skis, or just out in the yard until dinner. I write software for a living. I'm not a parenting expert, just a dad who'd rather hand my kids a mountain than a tablet, taking notes as we go.
